Congratulations to Mrs. Ashley Ivey-Jackson ! A proud alumni of THS, Mrs. Ivey-Jackson is committed to making Thomasville High School the best! Serving as department chair for the Fine Arts Department, she has skillfully designed and delivered costumes, props, and backdrops for our award winning dance and drama departments. Mrs. Ivey-Jackson teaches not only the fundamentals of visual art class but also the depth of AP World History, AP ArtStudio, and AP Art History all the while exposing her students to local and state art competitions. We value her help behind the scenes to streamline our transition into the new building.
👏🏾👏🏻We applaud the excellent teaching and service leadership Mrs. Ivey-Jackson provides!👏🏻👏🏾
💫👩🏻🎨Thank you for being an A+ teacher!👩🏻🎨💫

Congratulations to Mrs. Joy Knop! Investing in students since her elementary school days at Jerger Elementary, Mrs. Knop always encourages her seventh grade social studies students and cross country runners to lead the way. Her peer leadership students follow her example and work diligently cleaning campus, boxing canned goods for our school and district, and showcasing the December Dollar Days Fundraiser for Love with Actions Academy in Rwanda, Africa. With a heart that reaches out to help any student or fellow teacher, Mrs. Knop loves fiercely and faithfully, which is why so many former students make it a point to come back and visit her. And to top it off, in spite of her heartache, Mrs. Knop brings our community together and coordinates special events through her Live Like Levi Foundation.
👏🏾👏🏻We applaud the excellent teaching and service leadership Mrs. Knop provides!👏🏻👏🏾

Members of the THS Rocket Club traveled to the National Sport Launch East / Southern Area Rocketry GRITS event on Saturday, November 22 near Nashville, GA — and they had a blast! Students launched mid- and high-power rockets and connected with fellow rocketry fans from across the region.
A huge shoutout to Club President Dhruket Patel, who earned his Level 2 High Power Rocketry Certification! 🎉 This advanced certification shows an impressive level of rocketry knowledge and allows him to work with motors up to 500 times more powerful than typical model rockets. (For perspective… an L-motor rocket has enough force to lift a small toddler!)
We’re proud of our Bulldogs who are diving into real-world engineering challenges and building the skills that can lead to future STEM careers! ❤️🐾
