Mr. Peterson’s Science exploratory class is building paper roller coasters while learning about momentum.


Mrs. Singley’s 6th grade ELA students reviewed the class novel by playing an exciting game of “Stinky Feet.” Students were also able to practice adding and subtracting with negative numbers. The boys won this time!

For the 4th straight year, the Thomasville High School Literary team, led by Mrs. Rebecca Nicolay and Mr. Hank Smith, captured the Region 1-AA Championship today! Details on competition winners will be in Monday’s Athletics update.


6th grade Science Academy members are visited by a guest scientist from the National High Magnetic Field Lab. Mr. Villa took them on a virtual tour of the lab and conducted demonstrations via Zoom on the amazing properties of magnets!

Sneak Peek of the Snow Ball Dance! Many thanks to Mr. Gammel and his Construction students for their work in putting this backdrop together.
The dance is Friday, 6:30- 9:00 in the MPMS Cafeteria. Drop off/pick up on Washington Street. $10 tickets (pre-sold in Mrs. Rainey's Room before and after school or at the door). Students in Mrs. Ariail's Honors Human Anatomy class learned about the eye by dissecting a sheep’s eyeball and performing visual perception tests.

Ms. Strausser's 7th grade Language Arts class is reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". The students received their acceptance letters to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!


Guest artist Melissa June spent the day at Scholars Academy teaching Master Classes, providing over 60 students in our Dance Department with this amazing opportunity. The classes were designed to address character qualities like acceptance, respect, teamwork and cooperation through a highly engaging dance workshop. Classes focused on providing students with the tools to access their own individual ideas and emotions through improvisational movement. Mrs. June’s extensive career in dance was on full display as she engaged with each class, providing every student with a pathway to explore their own movement potential.

Mrs. Dell's Middle School Art students visit "The Next 100 Years" exhibit at Thomasville Center for the Arts. Before the field trip, students were given behind-the-scenes information from the curators, Ren Dillard and Tracy Murrell.




Mrs. Nelson's AP Calculus AB class showed off their skills for finding integrals of functions by playing games and performing skits!


Coach Fitzgerald's Physical Science students use M&Ms to investigate the radioactive decay of elements. I wonder if they were able to eat them afterward!


Dr. Hernandez and the High School Orchestra performed as special guests for the Rotary International. You all did so well, great job!
