The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a four week residential summer program for skilled, knowledgeable, and talented high school sophomores and juniors. GHP offers instruction that is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

Scholars Academy teacher veterans were treated to a soiree by Dr Hernandez and the High School String Orchestra Friday, November 10th.
Don't forget tomorrow morning at THS we will be having our Parent Appreciation Day. Come enjoy some light refreshments, Meet Mr. Daniels, & get your child's progress report. We will have people on hand to help you sign up for inifinite campus as well. Also, when you come your name will be entered into three drawings: Two Jonah's Gift Cards & four Wild Adventures Tickets are the door prizes!
Our Matheletes competed at VSU today! The JV team (Joseph Lehman, McCartney Bell, Turner Page Woody, and Dhruket Patel) placed second! Joseph placed 4th individually and Dhruket placed 1st!!!! Our varsity team was Evan Ariail, Matthew Mullins, Rose Lehman, and Carlisle Bilbo.

The construction is just about done with our podium for the Willow Head MBC float! The kids are proud of their work, and the church loves it! Mr. Gammel's Construction Class.
So many adventures were had by the 7th graders who recently went on the annual Science Academy trip!
The High School Orchestra played at the Valdosta VA Clinic Veterans Day Celebration 2023. They played the National Anthem, America the Beautiful, and the branch themes for Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force.
Ms. Rinehart's students always enjoy Economics Project Runway! We saw some really creative hats this year!
Students in Honors Biology were tasked with translating a gene. They went to the "nucleus' to transcribe the DNA and then searched the "cytoplasm" for an amino acid.
Parents you should have received an Opt-Out letter for Military and Higher Education. This form needs to be returned by 11/21/23 to get your student's name off the list that will be submitted to the requesting recruiters. The form can be found on schools webpage under explore: Opt-Out Letter is the name of the form and it is attached here.
6th graders in Mr. Gammel's Greco-Roman studies class covered the travels of Odysseus by making board games!
