Students in Honors Biology were tasked with translating a gene. They went to the "nucleus' to transcribe the DNA and then searched the "cytoplasm" for an amino acid.
Parents you should have received an Opt-Out letter for Military and Higher Education. This form needs to be returned by 11/21/23 to get your student's name off the list that will be submitted to the requesting recruiters. The advanced Latin class made tragic masks in preparation for acting out the famous fight scene between Aeneas and Turnus in Vergil's Aeneid!
Sixth grade Greco-Roman Studies students practiced the testudo, or tortoise formation, while being fired on by siege weapons!
Latin and Greek students got together at the end of October for their annual pumpkin party! Snacks were devoured, pingpong was played and pumpkins were painted! Mostly, kids had fun!
6th graders in Greco-Roman culture made their favorite myth monsters.
Latin students competed last Saturday at the Maclay school in Certamen, a competitive quizbowl style event covering all topics Greek and Latin. They even had a giant chess board for us to play on! Pizza was eaten, chess was sort of played, and competition was held!
Today, we honored our AP Scholars with a Coffee Bar celebration. These student represents students who scored a 3 or higher on 3 or more AP exams.
